Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah works as an Indian playback actress, singer and musician. The majority of her work comes in Tamil or Malayalam-language films. Annayum Rasoolum was her Malayalam and Tamil debut. She debuted in Tamil with Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah was raised in a Tamil Nadu Anglo-Indian family. Andrea's dad was an Madras High Court lawyer. Her younger sister works as an assistant researcher from Belgium who is employed in Leuven. Jeremiah lived near Chennai and went to National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea learned to play the piano classically in her 8th year. When she was 10, she was in a group called the Jackson Five Young Stars which formed the foundation of her musical and singing career. She also worked as a theatre performer in college. Andrea was the President of Women's College's Student Senate. Andrea's stage career started with Girishkarnad's Nagamandala. She appeared in the 2006 leo coffee commercial with Shiva. She also acted as a character in Podhigai's series. The actress has appeared all over India. She was briefly featured in Kanda Mudhal's finale (2005). She sang in a song to Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. He asked her to play one of his lead female characters in Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea is Kalyani who is married and mother to a man who has an affair. Andrea was approached following Simran shobana and Tabu. The film came out in early 2010, In August 2011 Venkat Prabhu launched his multi-starrer Mankatha. She was asked to take on a lesser supporting role. Annayum Rasoolum which is a romance film directed by Rajeeev Ravi, released in 2013, marked the actress's Malayalam debut.
